Friday 26 November saw our brave ladies 2nd team in the Ipswich and District Winter League venture out in very chilly conditions, to play at home against East Bergholt, writes team captain Nicole Hobson.
It was a campaign that certainly paid off, with another great win from the team.
The rain stayed off, and after a very chilly start, the teams warmed up their skills to deliver a particularly strong performance.
The pairing of Nicky and myself on the night saw us drop only 3 games in 4 sets, and securing a 4 out of 4 set win. The other power pair saw Fran and Shirley teaming up to secure 2 sets out of 4.
The final score saw Saxmundham win 6-2 against the visitors, in an evening's match that was a very friendly gathering on the part of both teams - all brilliantly fuelled by much-welcomed hot chocolate for all (thanks, Fiona!)
