Box League

Summer Box League 2024 entries are now open - enter by 1st May!
The competition kicks off on Saturday 4th May

A message from Matt Last, head coach:

"The Box League is available to all members regardless of perceived ability as it's basically a glorified excuse to get on court and play some different opposition!"

What to expect:

  • You play the best of three sets, with one point available per set won. The final set is only played if it's one set all, and the final set can be played as a full set or a deciding tie-break to 10 points.

  • The first stage is a round robin, where you'll be placed in a group of about four and play roughly three games between May and the end of July.

  • The top two will qualify for the main semi finals, 3rd and 4th will qualify for the plate semi finals.

  • Semi finals will be a straight knockout played during August.

  • Finals of main and plate will be invited to finals day along with all members for our Finals day social on 1st September.

  • All matches arranged in your own time.

  • Seven different competitions to enter; Ladies Singles, Mens Singles, Senior Mixed Singles (55+),  Mixed Doubles, Ladies Doubles, Men's singles and Junior Singles (u18)

  • £3 entry per person per competition. To enter please email Matt at mattlast69@googlemail.com with your name, partners name and best contact number.

  • Deadline to enter is 1st May

  • Most importantly enjoy, it's just an excuse to play more tennis!
