Hi Henry, tell us a bit about your involvement with the club I joined the club about 18 months ago having put down my racket for several years and have since been playing for the 2nd Team in the Summer League and 3rd Team in the Winter League, in addition to the intra-club Ladder League and Box League competitions. After promotion into Ipswich & District Men's Division 1 for the first time ever in the clubs history, it was always going to be a tall order to stay up. This ultimately ended up being the case however we didn't go quietly and certainly made the opposition work for there wins. Not bad for a team that ten years ago were way down in division 7 and as recently as 2022 only in division 4! On top of all that, this is the Mens 1s first relegation in the summer league since 2015! Another scintillating summer of Club Championships concluded with some cracking finals on Sunday 6th September. Slight change of format from the past editions being a box league, this years went straight into knock out with an inclusion of a Plate competition allowing all participants at least two matches. This year we had 38 different players enter across seven tournaments. Entries; Mixed - 11 pairs Ladies Doubles - 7 pairs Mens Doubles - 5 pairs Mens Singles - 8 players Lad

Now in my eight year as head coach, it's great to reflect on whats been another fantastic year for the club with the highlights being; Club creates a fantastic partnership with Bright Ideas for Tennis which saw the creation of a weekly session for Bramfield House School and a wonderful day of coaching and matchplay on our Charity Day in September with plenty raised for further coaching for Bramfield in the new year.
