A reminder to get the date in your diary...
Sunday 12th September will see the grand finale day for the summer Box League club event, in which ladies, gentlemen's and mixed doubles, as well as gentlemen's singles matches, have been playing since May.
This is a culmination of the trials and tribulations of many, many games played over the summer as we were let loose after the third lockdown.
It's also testament to Matt's organisational skills which involved getting the competitions set up, getting everyone to play their games, and capturing the scores.
Everyone is welcome on the day, whether or not you've taken part in the Box League this year; it's a club event in recognition of a wonderful summer of tennis, despite the challenges of Covid-19 keeping us away from the courts for weeks on end.
To complement this gala event, there will be a fun mixed doubles social tournament on the day, plus the renowned Sax Tennis Club BBQ, which, if it's anything like the calibre of the recent Open Day BBQ, will require you to turn up with a voraciously hearty appetite.
All members, regulars and visitors, old and new, young and veteran, and of all abilities are warmly encouraged to come along and play, watch and stay for a bite and a chitchat.
