As the recent update from our Club Secretary mentioned, Tuesday 7 September saw 14 players attend our club social tournament on a perfect, warm night for tennis.
Well done to everyone who came along and took part.
The format works so that each player has an individual score, and each person pays just £1.
Congratulations go to Nicole Hobson, Richard Crone and Roger Challis who came in as joint winners, plus a special mention goes to Sally, this being the first time she has played under floodlights.
What the Club Secretary didn't mention was that she also organised a fabulous buffet for all players to enjoy after their games, seemingly magicked out of thin air. It was a welcome and well-earned refreshment and a great chance to catch-up.
Our next club social tournament is scheduled for Tuesday 5th October, starting at 7pm. All members are encouraged to join in, at whatever level of play, for a fun evening of tennis.
