Wednesday 12 May was a lovely balmy evening for our first Ladies A, Division 3, match against Creekers: our arch-rivals.
In our team, we were lucky enough to have three new members Lucy, Jacqui and Cornelia.
We celebrated a convincing win 7-2.
This was a particularly good achievement, as normally we either win or lose 5-4 or 4-5.
Hopefully, we can repeat this on the return away game, which, for those who have not been to Creekers at Martlesham Creek, will be a good experience. They play on three private courts and the setting is awesome.
Afterwards they have a small bar area where we're always made very welcome, with drinks and nibbles - and by then, we should all be allowed to partake, which will give us all a sense of normality and freedom and a welcome reward after a long match.
Our next match is away to Stowmarket, and this again will be challenging. But, they have good courts and are always extremely friendly. We'll have a fun evening as well as a good standard of tennis.
Thank you to all the ladies that played, and for your support and loyalty.
