A set's difference saves the summer! Report by Matt Last
Having only just recovered from an incredibly tight winter league with only a point being the difference between promotion, mid-table and relegation, the summer league has decided to take it a step further resulting in one of the most remarkably tight tables I've seen.
Stowmarket were too hot to handle and won all their matches. After that the remaining four teams all finished on six points each, only being separated by winning set percentage!
A 7% swing from 2nd place Ipswich to bottom placed Sproughton with Saxmundham just holding on to league survival in 3rd place.
A topsy-turvy season with us surviving is great testament to the regulars especially with the loss of our talisman Anthony.
Big thanks to the regulars of Chris, Ewan, Cameron and Matt who were crucially aided by the likes of Ian, James, Roger, Martin, Giles, Sam, Gerard and Fin.
