A decidedly autumnal Monday 27th September 2021 saw the first match get underway for our Ladies 2nd team in the Ipswich and District Winter Floodlit League reports team captain Nicole Hobson.
We are running two ladies teams this year in this league, and a team consists of two pairs. Each pair plays two sets against each couple.
Last night's first outing was an away match against Woodbridge.
Myself and Nicky played together, and won all four of our sets 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0.
Meanwhile the power-pairing of Fiona and Grace saw two tie-breaks in the first two sets and then a scoreline of 6-2 , 4-6.
It was a great fun evening, even if the cows in a nearby field were rather loud and distracting!
