We had a fantastic afternoon at Saxmundham Tennis Club on Sunday 12th March 2023, as we hosted a 14 and under Tennis Grand Prix event. We welcomed 14 players from across Suffolk, travelling in our direction from clubs including Lowestoft, Stowmarket and Newmarket, plus two of our own players, Linus and Louis.
Despite the pretty gusty conditions, there was an abundance of quality play on display throughout the three hours on court.
All players managed to get four singles and a doubles match, all played in a FAST4 format.
Congratulations to George P for topping Division One, and getting a clean sweep of 20 points out of 20 available. Also a huge well done to Mia for taking the division two category.
Big shout out goes to Fiona, Fran and Jill who came along to support the event, and put on an excellent selection of refreshments and cake that certainly went down well with the players, parents and coaches alike!
These events are held throughout the year, and hosted at many different venues in Suffolk, with differing age categories on offer.
