Saxmundham Tennis Club will be hosting its first Suffolk Tennis Grand Prix (STGP) event on Sunday 19th September, running 2-4pm.
STGP mission statement;
"To supply high quality, positive, transitional competition experience for beginner and improver level players, by providing similar level ability divisions within events designed around a social team environment before players progress to formal LTA tournaments."
The event is an LTA 'youth red' event aimed at players aged 8 and under, and anyone interested in playing more tennis matchplay regardless of ability. It costs £10 for the two hours, where the players are guaranteed plenty of matches regardless of results with the tournament using a friendly round robin format.
Players will also be divided into two categories to help keep playing level similar and matches more competitive.
